Drupe Engineering

Pressure Vessels and Peripherals

Automation for Shells, Seams and Nozzles

A pressure vessel doesn’t get a second chance at its weld seams. Drupe Engineering builds the turning rolls, nozzle welding SPMs, long seam welders and internal-access column-and-boom systems that hold a vessel shell steady and give the weld head consistent access, seam after seam, so the shell holds the pressure it was designed for.

Approved supplier to L&T, Godrej, ESAB and ABB Robotics. Every system engineered and fabricated at our 300-ton MIDC Taloja floor.

Key Capabilities

1. Rotary Positioners & Turning Rolls Motorised turning rolls and rotary positioners sized to your vessel diameter and shell weight, holding position steady through long circumferential passes. The backbone of any vessel-fabrication cell.

2. Nozzle Welder SPM Special purpose machines built for nozzle-to-shell attachment welding, with programmed weave and heat input control. Solves the geometry problem that off-the-shelf robots struggle with on curved shells.

3. Long Seam Welding & Circumferential Welding Column-and-boom manipulators and robotic welding cells built for shell longitudinal seams and shell-to-shell circumferential joints, running TIG, MIG and SAW at ±0.02 mm repeatability across the full seam.

4. CNC Plate Cutting for Shell & Dish Ends Plasma and oxy-fuel cutting across 0.5 mm to 300 mm thickness, giving clean weld-prep edges on shell plate before rolling and cut-outs for dish end fabrication. Plasma sources from Hypertherm, Kjellberg and Thermacut.

Planning & Strategy

From your first drawing to lifetime service, every project runs the same disciplined path.

Ideal For

  • Longitudinal shell seam welding
  • Circumferential shell-to-shell welding
  • Nozzle-to-shell attachment welding
  • Dish end and head welding
  • Internal cladding and overlay welding
  • Shell plate cutting and dish end blank prep

Why Drupe?

A vessel shell that shifts mid-weld or a nozzle joint that drifts out of tolerance doesn’t just cost rework, it costs a failed hydro test. Drupe’s turning rolls hold the shell steady, our nozzle SPMs handle the curved geometry that off-the-shelf robots struggle with and our long seam systems hold arc distance from the first pass to the last. Approved supplier standing with L&T, Godrej, ESAB and ABB Robotics means the same engineering discipline that passes their audit trail is built into every vessel-fabrication system we ship.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can your turning rolls handle large-diameter vessel shells?

Yes. Our turning rolls and rotary positioners are sized to your vessel diameter and shell weight, engineered to hold position steady through full circumferential welds without drift.

Yes. Nozzle welder and head welder SPMs are a significant part of what we build. If your vessel geometry needs a custom fixture or weld head positioning system, we design it around your drawing.

Every system ships with mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, PLC programs, calibration reports and weld process documentation, built to support your quality audit trail.

We are always ready to help you and answer your questions.
