Standard Components

Standard Components

Linear slides, precision locknuts, support units, rail clamps, felt pinions and locking devices. Stroke to 3900 mm, threads M8 to M200, with standard sizes in stock.

The range

The whole linear stack from
one supplier

Linear slides in ball screw and belt drive, from 50 to 3900 mm stroke. The KK ball screw slide holds ±0.02 mm across 1050 mm; the LFR belt slide runs to 3900 mm at ±0.05 mm. Supplied as single axes or combined into two and three axis gantries.

Around each linear slide, every part that holds it in position: four locknut series from M8 to M200, fixed and supported side housings in rectangular and flange mounting, rail clamps, lubricating pinions and keyless locking devices.

Turning, hardening, inspection and stock, all from Drupe.

Select by Component

The axis itself, and everything that holds it in place. Select the component, then confirm the size on its page.

Precision Linear Motion Systems Render
Ball screw and belt driven slide units, 50 to 3900 mm stroke, position accuracy to ±0.02 mm. KK, LFR, LMCB, LMX, LMG and LMW.
01
Precision Locknuts on a CNC Blueprint Bench
Four series from M8 to M200, locking on the thread itself. No thrust washer and no keyway, so the shaft is left as designed. KMR, KMK, KSF and KAM.
02
BK17 BF17 Precision Support Units
Fixed and supported side housings for ball screw ends. BK and BF rectangular for shafts 10 to 40 mm, FK and FF flange mounting.
03
Industrial Rail Clamps Blueprint Poster
HZ manual clamping units for rail 15 to 65 mm, holding 1200 to 2000 N and rated to 25,000 clamping cycles. For table transverse, carriage and stop positioning.
04
Felt Pinion Gears in Precision Engineering
Felt pinions that run in mesh with a rack or gear, laying a continuous film of lubricant across the teeth. Replaces manual greasing on rack and pinion drives and stops them running dry between services.
05
Precision Locking Collars on Steel Workbench
Keyless locking assemblies that clamp a hub to a shaft by friction, as the screws draw two tapered rings together. Zero backlash and no keyway, with the hub positioned anywhere on the shaft and removed without damage.

Why Drupe

Turned to be Measured

01

Run out held to 0.005 mm

Thread precision to ISO 4H on every locknut series, measured rather than assumed. A figure you can take to an inspection report.

02

No keyway, no thrust washer

Every series locks on the thread itself, so the shaft is left as designed and one part comes out of the assembly.

03

Specified as an assembly

Housing, bearing, nut and clamp selected together against the screw diameter, so the preload holds as a stack rather than as four separate parts.
04

On the shelf

Standard sizes carried, so a replacement is a despatch rather than an import lead time on a part worth a few hundred rupees.

Common questions

Before you send an enquiry

Ball screw or belt slide, which do I need?

Ball screw for accuracy and thrust over short stroke; belt for long stroke and speed. The KK ball screw slide holds ±0.02 mm across 50 to 1050 mm of stroke and delivers 376 N of thrust, which suits positioning, measurement and assembly. The LFR 10 belt slide runs from 100 to 3900 mm at up to 3000 mm/s unloaded, at ±0.05 mm, which suits transfer, loading and gantry axes. Very few applications need both in one axis. Those that do are better served by two axes than by one compromise.

It depends on orientation. The KK ball screw slide carries up to 40 kg mounted horizontally and 10 kg mounted vertically. The LFR 10 belt slide carries up to 30 kg horizontally. Send us the payload, the stroke and the mounting orientation and we will confirm the size, since all three decide the selection together.

Repeatability of ±0.05 to ±0.1 mm across one, two and three axis gantries in medium and heavy duty. The figure depends on span, payload and drive type, so it is confirmed against your configuration at quotation.

KMR secures the fixed side support unit to the ball screw shaft, M8 to M56, with a grub screw as the anti-loosening mechanism. KMK covers the widest range, M16 to M200, locking through set screws that draw the threads into contact. KSF locks at three points at 30 degrees on brass threads, M14 to M110, and takes up to 35 Nm, which makes it the safer choice under vibration. KAM covers M12 to M150, and below M15 has two opposed flats so it can be set with a general wrench instead of a special tool.

EN19 throughout, hardened to HRC 28 to 32 and manufactured by high precision turning. Thread precision is ISO 4H, and run out is held to 0.005 mm. The same specification applies across all four series.

BK and BF are rectangular, bolted down through the base, for shafts 10 to 40 mm. FK and FF are flange mounted, for the same function where the housing bolts to a face rather than a bed. The internal arrangement is the same; the choice is decided by how your machine frame is built.

When the carriage has to hold position at a stop without the drive fighting the load. The HZ manual clamping units suit rail sizes 15 to 65 mm, hold 1200 to 2000 N, are rated to 25,000 clamping cycles and operate from minus 10 to plus 70 °C. They are set by lever at 4 to 22 Nm. Typical uses are table transverse positions, carriages and stops.

Most components are made to order, and many standard sizes are frequently in stock. Contact our sales team at sales@drupeengg.com with the part number or size you need, and they will confirm current availability and the dispatch date.
