Drupe Engineering

Oil & Gas Energy

Automation for Pressure-Critical Fabrication

Oil and gas fabrication runs on repeatability. A missed weld pass on a girth seam or an out-of-tolerance bevel cut doesn’t just cost rework, it risks a pressure test failure downstream. Drupe Engineering builds the CNC pipe profilers, robotic circumferential welders, rotary positioners and long-seam welding systems that hold spec through every shift, so pipe fabricators, pressure vessel manufacturers and EPC contractors don’t have to choose between throughput and consistency.

Approved supplier to L&T, Godrej, ESAB and Yaskawa. Every system engineered and fabricated at our 300-ton MIDC Taloja floor, built to ISO practices and customer-specific QA standards.

Key Capabilities

1. CNC Pipe Profiling & Bevel Cutting: Plasma and oxy-fuel pipe cutting stations covering 0.5 mm to 300 mm wall thickness, with weld-prep bevel angles cut in a single pass. Plasma sources from Hypertherm, Kjellberg and Thermacut, sized for pipeline spool fabrication and header prep.

2. Robotic Circumferential Welding: Robotic welding cells built for pipe girth welds and pipe-to-flange joints, holding arc consistency across 360 degrees without operator drift. Compatible with KUKA, Yaskawa, Fanuc, ABB and Kawasaki, running TIG, MIG and SAW for pressure-critical joints.

3. Long Seam Welding Systems: Column-and-boom manipulators built for longitudinal seams on large-diameter pipe, headers and vessel shells. Hold arc distance and travel speed steady across full pipe lengths, no drift over the pass.

4. Rotary Positioners & Turning Rolls: Powered turning equipment for horizontal vessel and pipe rotation during welding, sized to your workpiece diameter and weight. Keeps the weld pool consistent through the full rotation.

Planning & Strategy

From your first drawing to lifetime service, every project runs the same disciplined path.

Ideal For

  •  Structural steel fabrication
  • Heavy machinery and OEM assembly
  • Earthmoving and construction equipment
  • Wagon and rolling stock welding
  • Two-wheeler and automobile chassis lines
  • Ship block welding and hull assembly

Why Drupe?

Oil and gas buyers face a quiet risk on every project: a manual weld that only fails at hydro testing, when it’s expensive to fix. Drupe’s robotic circumferential welders and long-seam systems hold ±0.02 mm repeatability from the first pass to the last, so the consistency is built into the process rather than inspected in after the fact. Approved supplier standing with L&T, Godrej, ESAB, ABB Robotics and Yaskawa means our systems have already passed the audit trails their procurement teams run. Engineered and supported in India, with spares held at our Taloja facility.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can your systems handle large-diameter pipe girth welding?

Yes. Our robotic circumferential welders and column-and-boom manipulators are built for large-diameter pipe and vessel work, holding arc consistency across 360-degree rotations with rotary positioners sized to your workpiece.

Yes. We build to ISO practices and customer-specific QA requirements. Every system ships with a full documentation package including calibration reports and weld process records for your audit trail.

TIG, MIG and SAW, selected based on your joint design and material. We help you specify the right process for the application during the technical discussion stage, before quotation.

We are always ready to help you and answer your questions.
